Essential Job Functions:
 
  • Develop and maintain production schedules and work orders for Copper Department projects.
  • Review engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), specifications, and customer requirements to determine manufacturing processes and routing.
  • Create and maintain manufacturing routings, labor standards, and process documentation within ERP systems.
  • Coordinate workflow through fabrication, machining, assembly, testing, and shipping operations.
  • Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks, bottlenecks, and resource constraints.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and department managers to prioritize work and allocate resources effectively.
  • Ensure material availability by working closely with Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Supply Chain personnel.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance data and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Support cost estimating activities by providing labor and process planning information.
  • Participate in project kickoff meetings and production planning reviews.
  • Track schedule adherence and provide regular status updates to management and project teams.
  • Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and update standard work instructions and process documentation.
  • Coordinate engineering changes and ensure accurate implementation in production plans.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and operating procedures.
  • Support capacity planning and long-range production forecasting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all Butech Bliss safety rules.
  • Travel to customer, supplier, job site, and company locations as required. 
  • Operate a personal or company-owned vehicle for business purposes. 
  • Transport documents, equipment, parts, materials, or other business-related items as needed. 
  • Maintain authorization as a Company Driver in accordance with company policy. 

Education and/or Experience:
 
  • Strong machining background is critical to this role. Added benefit if strong computer skills or machine programming experience.  
  • Prefer a minimum of 3 years of manufacturing planning, production scheduling, process planning, or operations experience.
  • Experience working in heavy manufacturing, industrial equipment, metals, or fabrication environment.

Preferred:
  • Experience with copper processing equipment, rolling mills, metal forming equipment, or custom engineered machinery.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.


Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of machining, manufacturing processes and production planning principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
  • Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and manufacturing operations is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required. 
  • Must meet and maintain Company Driver eligibility requirements and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). 
  • Must maintain required automobile insurance when operating a personal vehicle for company business. 
  • Ability to travel locally and occasionally overnight as business needs require. 

Physical Requirements:
 
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.
  • Ability to visit manufacturing and shop floor environments regularly.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment when in production areas.
  • Visual ability to review drawings, schedules, and manufacturing documentation.
