Summary: The Skilled Laborer position will perform industrial painting and material handling duties while ensuring quality, safety, and production standards are met. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Functions:

Apply industrial coatings and paint to fabricated parts and equipment according to specifications.
Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, masking, grinding, or sanding as required.
Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to move materials and finished products safely.
Load and unload materials, equipment, and shipments.
Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Assist with general shop duties and other production-related tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High School diploma or GED required
Previous experience in industrial painting, shot blasting, material handling, manufacturing, or related trades preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Ability to safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes, or willingness to be trained.
Ability to read and follow work instructions, specifications, and safety procedures.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and material handling.
Requires use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toe boots.
May require overtime or weekend work depending on production needs.
