Summary: The Rebuild Assembler is responsible for disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling mechanical components and equipment to meet quality and performance standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical drawings, rebuild procedures, and safety guidelines.
Essential Job Functions:
- Disassemble mechanical components using proper tools and procedures.
- Inspect parts for wear, damage, or defects to determine repair or replacement needs.
- Document findings and measurements for traceability and quality control.
- Rebuild and reassemble equipment according to specifications, drawings, and work instructions.
- Replace bearings, seals, gears, and other components as required.
- Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges.
- Fit, align, and adjust components to ensure proper operation and tolerances.
- Interpret blueprints and assembly drawings to ensure accurate rebuilds.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and torque tools safely and effectively.
- Operate hoists or lifting equipment when handling large components (if applicable).
- Follow rebuild specifications and tolerances to meet quality standards.
- Complies with all Butech Bliss safety rules.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and/or Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience assembling/building complex machinery
- Some electric knowledge experience a plus
- Experience with overhead cranes/hoists
Qualifications:
- Ability to read blueprints/schematics
- Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems
- Ability to work towards deadlines
- Ability to work alone or as part of a small team
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must supply own toolbox with basic hand tools
- Willingness to work overtime including Saturdays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, bend, reach, push and pull.
